The Standing Room: A Culinary Gem in Redondo Beach

The Standing Room is my go to local place for a burger. If you love spicy - the Chance with a fried egg is Chef’s kiss. Also love the carnitas fries. They leveled up their fries game over the past year or so. Preciously I would only get the burger without an order of fries as they weren’t my favorite. Fries are now an A+!

I got the pork belly plate, and it was capital-G Good! Excellent quality, large portions, and really delicious. Highly recommend.

These Chefs are so conscientious in selecting the food they prepare, and maintain beautiful consistency! Each item is wonderful on its own, and then flavors are 3-D when part of a full meal! We are most grateful for the skills these young men have honed, and share with us regularly. Keep up the great work!

Located inside Catalina liquor store. There's a small private parking lot but there's also street parking. There's a small bar with two bar stools inside and a couple of outdoor tables with seats in the corner of the parking lot. The menu has lots of yummy starters, lots of burger options, and Sammies. The food is delicious and portions are generous. Prices are a bit high considering it's not a sit down restaurant. As a side note, I discovered they have a larger location in Torrance. I'll probably go to that location next time. Definitely worth a try!

Decent food for the price. The pulled pork was a little dry and the bread was a bit too thick (I know this is to set them apart but it doesn't fit well).

Came here with the entire family and everyone agreed that we'll be back. I had the truffle fries and naked burger. While the fries were exactly how I like them (thinner and more crisp) they lacked the truffle essence, so I'll probably skip them next time. The burger was perfection. Cooked just right, enough of the extras to be noticed, but not so much that they dominated or turned the burger into a fall apart mess, and a bun that was sturdy enough to hold everything together yet still so soft it was easy to consume. The entire family also loved the brussel sprouts and the grilled cheese was a winner also.

The Standing Room is a true hidden gem! Came here on a solo food mission and it did not disappoint. The burger was absolutely incredible — juicy, flavorful, and stacked just right. This spot is definitely more of a grab-and-go or solo bite kind of place. There’s little to no seating, so don’t expect a cozy dine-in experience. Not ideal for a date night, but perfect if you’re just looking to enjoy a killer burger without the frills.

The legendary original Standing Room is still as good as ever with creative ornate burgers and plates that will keep you coming back for more. You can add short rib, extra patties, and all sorts of things to customize the burgers. They also have chicken, soft shell crab, pork belly, salmon and the list goes on. The quality of the food here is excellent, fresh and delicious every time. Sides here are done right too... brussels, SP fries are money. Their quesadilla is so rich and flavorful.. the kind of meal that you need a nap after. You order inside the liquor store then pick up at the outside window. Whatever you try here you can't go wrong.. amazing food in a cool oceanside location.. they have a few tables outside or you can go across Catalina and eat in the park. This Standing Room is a must try for the tradition and the great grub.
